Across the world, new legislation is being introduced with regard to the use of hazardous substances in electronic equipment. The main driving force for this change has been the European Directive 2002/95/EC, on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances (RoHS) in electrical and electronic equipment, and other similar environmental legislation around the world.

The majority of Syfer's products fully comply with the European Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS). Please click on the link on the right hand side ("RoHS Compliance List") to see a table indicating our compliance across the Syfer range.
To check whether a specific part is EU RoHS compliant :
1. Please go to the appropriate section of the website for that product
2. Enter the part number in the Product Code generator
3. Select "Show Product", and the displayed information will confirm whether that item is RoHS compliant or not
